Why I am running for re-election?
On Aug. 4, 2016, the voters of Hamilton County blessed me with their confidence and support to serve as their Assessor of Property. When running for this office, I made a promise to bring a conservative business approach to county government and modernize the Assessor's Office so it is more efficient, accountable and responsive to the evolving needs of all property owners and taxpayers.
For years, I have worked hard every day to fulfill this promise. In doing so, we have made tremendous progress in modernizing and improving the Assessor's Office to ensure every property assessment is fair, transparent and reflects the fair market value of the property according to recent sales in the area.
Some of my accomplishments since taking office include:
These and other efforts were the basis for me being named the 2018 East Tennessee Assessor of the Year by my peers across the state. More important, it enabled the Assessor's Office to earn the state's first "Three Star" certification from the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers.
Fairness... Accountability... Integrity... That's my commitment to you, and what I will continue doing as your Assessor of Property.

Some of my accomplishments since taking office include:
- Since taking office in Nov. 2017, I have reduce my budget every year -- creating an overall savings to the taxpayers of more than $500,000.
- Eliminated the take-home vehicle policy while decreasing the overall fleet of office vehicles from 24 - 14.
- Extended the hour of operation for the Assessor's Office office to 5 p.m. so we can better serve property owners -- and without adding additional costs to taxpayers.
- Modernize the Assessors Office by installing a new computer system and software upgrades to help improve the reassessment process and make it more transparent and efficient as well as enhance the online appeals process.
- Implemented a professional development program that has enabled six appraisers to earn State and National professional designations -- one of the highest numbers in the state.
- Hired the first female appraiser in Hamilton County.
